The Full Story

After partnering with meeting and event planners to produce and operate programs as a destination management professional for 18 years, Steve started SJ McCleave Events in 2019.  Shortly thereafter, the Covid pandemic not only disrupted the meeting and event industry, but also generated an intimate collaboration from its leaders. This collaboration has blossomed into a strong network in which SJ McCleave Events is engaged.

About Steve McCleave

Steve brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with management and director positions in the hotel, cruise line, restaurant, and destination management fields.  He has a passion for Los Angeles and enjoys discovering and sharing the hidden gems of the city.

 

 His appreciation of the story below the surface brings a deeper meaning to the events he creates and the venues he presents, which has a remarkable parallel to the story of Los Angeles.  Steve is active in his career with certifications in Meeting and Event Planning, Destination Management, Virtual and Hybrid Meeting Planning, and Health Compliance Protocols. Steve has been an active member of the Southern California Chapter of Meeting Professionals International since 2003, and serves on the Board of Director’s Leadership Team.
